Enrollment
To enroll your
child in the Read and Succeed program, he or she must attend an
eligible school and meet other criteria for eligibility set by
your school district.
Most school districts will send an application form to eligible
parents once a year. This form normally includes a long list of
options for parents.
After your child is enrolled, you will receive a proposed
learning plan from Read and Succeed which will include specific
achievement goals and a timeline for completing the program
Read and Succeed students are given a diagnostic placement test
at the beginning of the program. This test determines which
track of the program they will be placed in. Different tracks
may overlap, but they present different skills, pacing or
amounts of content.
Students are required to complete units in sequence, so that
they achieve mastery over each skill taught in the program
before moving on to the next one.
Because students complete the program at their own pace, your
child may finish the program before or after other enrolled
students.
