Curriculum

Read and Succeed’s instructional model addresses the four “keys” to improving reading comprehension: Vocabulary, Fluency, Reasoning, and Motivation.

The core of the Read and Succeed program is the RapidResults Curriculum and Instructional Method. The RapidResults curriculum addresses the three core skill areas students need for advanced reading comprehension.

Reasoning – Drawing logical conclusions

Vocabulary -- Knowing the meanings of words

Fluency -- The ability to sound out and recognize printed words

The RapidResults instructional method accelerates the rate at which students learn by breaking each of the above skill areas into a large number of sub skills. Students are taught each sub-skill to mastery using a rapid response interface that keeps them engaged, provides frequent feedback and continuously tracks progress.

Students are motivated to complete the program in a number of ways, including self-reinforcement, and the opportunity to earn prizes and with frequent praise from adult tutors.
