Bridging the Digital Divide with Innovative Technology

Read and Succeed’s powerful software can improve the fluency, vocabulary and critical reasoning skills of a diverse cross-section of students. However, even today, many low-income families do not have convenient and reliable access to personal computers or the Internet. This is known as the “digital divide.” Many also lack transportation after school.

Read and Succeed helps bridge this “digital divide” and transportation challenge. We use innovative technology platforms that allow students to learn from home even if they do not own a computer. (Parents of younger students may need to assist them with the program.)

One on One Instruction by Highly Effective Tutors

Students are also regularly contacted by trained adult tutors to assist them with the program. Research indicates that one on one instruction by a trained tutor following a prescriptive curriculum is one of the most powerful ways to improve student achievement.

Our technology-based approach combined with one on one attention and our powerful curriculum help us succeed even with many students who are years below grade level.
